The report highlights the importance of fostering AI literacy among children and adolescents, with a particular emphasis on developing critical thinking skills. It stresses the need to raise awareness of the persuasive techniques used by AI chatbots and to help young people understand how these systems operate. Equipping youth with this knowledge can better prepare them to recognise and critically engage with hate speech and AI-generated extremist content.

The report also calls on service providers to ensure that AI systems, such as Grok, incorporate robust safeguards to better protect young users.
