Golden Dawn was a Greek far-right, ultranationalist political party that rose to prominence during Greece’s financial crisis in the early 2010s.

Although the party has largely collapsed as a political force, some former members and associated figures have continued their activities through other groups. Golden Dawn also remains an important case study in understanding how extremist movements use digital platforms to spread hate speech and extremist narratives.

In a recent article, INACH member the Greek Helsinki Monitor highlights how, over the past five years, its work as a trusted partner of X, Meta, and TikTok has contributed to the suspension of several online accounts linked to the movement through ongoing monitoring and reporting.
